A heritage of maps, registers and territorial transformations
Land registry documentation constitutes a fundamental source for reconstructing the evolution of the territory, settlements, properties and communities. Through maps, registers and inventories it is possible to follow the transformations of the landscape over time and understand the relationship between people, goods and places.
A nationwide campaign
The intervention is part of the national program dedicated to the digitalisation of cadastral archives, promoted as part of investments for the digital transformation of cultural heritage. The activities concern maps, registers, inventories and other tools useful for understanding cadastral sources.
New access and search possibilities
Digitalisation will allow us to progressively expand the possibilities for consulting the cadastral heritage preserved by the State Archives of Cagliari. Digital reproductions do not replace the original documents, but promote their knowledge, research and valorization.
