The Ministerial Decree of 1 October 2021, n. 241 regulates the functions, organization and operation of the Schools of Archives, Paleography and Diplomacy established at the State Archives. The Regulation defines the structure of the two-year course of specialization for archivists, requirements and admission procedures, teaching organization, frequency obligations, course examinations and final examination, as well as the criteria for conferring teaching assignments. The decree also establishes the common framework of the training offer, divided into compulsory teachings, track-specific courses and optional activities, for a total of 120 credits.
