The documentation allows us to follow over time the family, political and patrimonial relationships developed by its exponents and the role assumed by the family in the history of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"a-family-in-the-history-of-sardinia\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">A family in the history of Sardinia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The preserved documentation allows us to reconstruct the presence of the Aymerich family in the society and institutions of Sardinia over a very broad chronological span. The papers show the role of the family in the political, administrative and patrimonial life of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"political-relations-and-correspondence-networks\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Political relations and correspondence networks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Letters, dispatches and attestations document a network of relationships that connected the family to the authorities of the Kingdom of Sardinia, local officials, representatives of the Church and other aristocratic families. The records concern administrative and military matters, but also private events, gift exchanges and family news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"sardinia-between-the-mediterranean-and-the-spanish-monarchy\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sardinia between the Mediterranean and the Spanish monarchy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The documentation allows us to observe significant moments in the history of modern Sardinia: the defense of the coasts from incursions, the financing of the fortifications, the relationships with the viceroy and the participation of the military in the political and financial life of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"an-archive-between-public-history-and-private-life\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">An archive between public history and private life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside the institutional documents, the personal letters reveal births, deaths, friendships and daily relationships.
